Therapy Helps!

Do you…

…want to be happier in your relationships?
…feel uncomfortable connecting with others?
…have trauma in your background that is still troubling?
…suffer from phobias?
…have a general sense of anxiety and/or depression?
…want to train for peak performance?

Are you…

…less assertive than you’d like to be?
…having work-related stress?
…grappling with questions of meaning & purpose?
…adjusting to life changes?
…seeking to remove creative blocks?

My psychotherapy practice is rooted in a holistic approach, encompassing mind, heart, body and spirit. This means that whatever the content you bring to our sessions, we pay attention to how it manifests and is maintained in four primary ways:

Holism means that you have an innate wisdom that guides your healing. In therapy, we access and utilize this inner knowledge.

Holism also means that we consider you as part of an interconnected web of relationships, from the personal to society at large. Through this lens, we reflect on issues of identity, including ways that you may have internalized oppression from any ways the dominant culture has treated you. You may also wish to consider ways you have benefited from your position in society that you want to challenge.

Integrative Approach

As a therapist with a great deal of experience, I utilize an integrative approach which draws from many different orientations and techniques. Together, we decide which elements are most interesting and comfortable for you. Several of these include:

I enjoy working with adults of all sexual orientations and ethnic/cultural identities.

“There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and there is only one of you in all time. This expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium; and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.”
